UFO Book

Book design, like most design, is all about creating a system.

The starting point for this book was hundreds of pages of raw information, including text, images, tables and graphs, relating to studies of UFOs, conducted by the University of Colorado.

The goal was to sort all that information, structure it through hierarchy, use the images, graphs and tables appropriately to support the text. In short, the goal was to make the raw information accessible and organized. The final system includes the book cover, spine design, title pages, call-outs, various headers and sub-headers, image choices and more. After all the decision-making, the application of the system was due, which took much longer than the initial designing process, but came together nicely in a total of 420+ pages.
